Warning: If you already have a Passport. Don't you EVER lose it!
My mom ALWAYS reminds me "don't lose your passport, this is a very important document" and I go like "okay, MOM."
Don't even ask me how I lose my Passport 'cause I also don't know how I lost it. SO, okay. I miss placed it (Denial! hehe). I discovered that I miss placed it, when I applied somewhere (classified). When I came looking for it, I just couldn't remember where I last place it or even hid it. And when I think I had hid the passport in that place, it was not there.
I was in denial then. It was July of this year. The first thing that entered m mind is my MOMs words that I took for granted. My mom ALWAYS reminds me "don't lose your passport, this is a very important document" and I go like "okay, MOM." How irresponsible 23 year old I am. It's so shameful.
The second thing that came into my mind is the processing. Like how do I do this, processing, reporting, fees, etc.HASSLE!
I asked around my friends as I couldn't bring this up with my parents and my friend Mishel, adviced me that when you lose a passport, the requirement alone will make you regret of losing such. (Very helpful advise, don't you think?)
I always make a fuss at work about my lost passport and I started searching for Lost passports in the DFA site here in the Philippines.
Turned out, it was not such a bad experience.
BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE!
Please make sure your requirements are complete such as: Affidavit of Loss (It has to be notarized), Police Report and the Passport requirements. You can always refer to the site and the instructions are given as well.
Also, please remember that there is a 15 days clearing period before you can proceed into the real process of getting the passaporte!
With Regards to the process of getting the passport, will post to you soon! Just sit back and relax.
In the mean time, I got it! A for effort! Chow for now.
