Just Keep swimming~ The Manila Ocean Park Experience

Going There..

Though me and my boyfriend planned this for months, (it's hes vacay) well, something still came up and we need to go to St. Lukes Medical Center. Noon came and we were still at the hospital. My boyfriend has the "okay this is not gonna happen today" face in him and I felt guilty. He was only visiting. So, I insists into pursuing. WE did not grow up in Metro Manila. We wanted to go to Manila Ocean Park however, We do not know how to get there. Oops! So much for planning.

Easy. We have TAXI or cab. (EXPENSIVE I thought!)

So, Since my boyfriend is visiting I thought we can have an Adventure commuting towards our destination.

To do this, we have to research. Thank you so much to the technology as we can easily Search our destination. If your phone is wi-fi ready, you can access St. Luke's Medical Center free wi-fi (not in every area in the Hospital). However, since we were in a hurry we looked for a computer shop outside the hospital. Luckily, we did found one.

Moral lesson:

Know where to go and list it. Research about how to go there and what rides to take. (Unless you don't wanna take the cab)

Getting there..

WE did found the directions it says if your from cubao> take a"Quiapo jeepney to Rizal Ave.. bla bla bla. We stopped in this point as the jeepney driver said "Di ko alam kung saan yan(I don't know that place is)."
I panicked. But when we reached Quiapo Church. I managed to ask the driver to stop. We went down, look around and pray for guidance. And Finally our last Resort, We took a Cab. :))

Okay. So we were on the Cab. Suddenly, rain fell so hard and we don't have an umbrella. Not to mention the traffic. It was like is it meant to be?

Moral Lesson:

Apart from researching the place. Be a girl scout and bring an UMBRELLA. Since you are also going into a wet place. You might want to bring an extra shirt, food, water (it's expensive there!)

Being there..

3: 45 PM DESTINATION reached..
The cab roughly costs 80php including tip (Quiapo Church - Ocean Park).

Still wet and wild..

For fist timers like us, you may want to look at their schedules on the site. There is a package as well.

We choose the Sea Lion Show, Jelies (Dancing Sea fairies), fish spa and the Oceanarium. It all costs 600 per person.

To see sea water creatures and it's habitiat. Worth it.

As suggested by the receptionists. Since the Lion show will start at 4:30, go to the Jellies first as this will only take 10-20 mins viewing plus picture taking. So, First stop. JELLIES: DANCING SEA FAIRIES.

It was fun. Seeing different Jellies dancing with the lights and music. Very attractive visually and gives you a calm feeling of relaxation.

Second stop: SEA LION SHOW

This was something I was looking forward. I've never saw a Sea Lion Show in my life. 4:30 it started. Interesting as it is, I was very attentive and listened every details and information given by the Emcee. By the time he said "Is there anyone..?" I immediately raised my hands without knowing the last sentence. It was like an instinct. I AM AN ANIMAL LOVER. I wanted to be next to the Sea Lion.

Meet Vincent. Have no fear. He was greasy. Experiencewise, 100% worth it.

OMG! That was the most unforgetable experience evah! My boyfriend is so supportive he even bought the CD with my and the Sea Lions picture in it.

Third Stop: Oceanarium

It was fun seeing different kinds of fish, big or small. Some you can't even imagine existed. They were wonderfully made by God. Somehow it made you connect to the big ocean out there.

Let's keep swimming!

Lastly: FISH SPA

After long day walking, touring and exploring. It's always nice to sit back and relax.

I never had one before! I was so nervous because of the mind set fish biting your feet. Do they have teeth? Is it painful? I know I'm over reacting. That's what He thought. =)

Well when fish started their work. Hmm.. See for yourselves..

ME and the fish bonding together!

Was so ticklish! I was laughing the whole time and people are watching me. My boyfriend was so ashamed of me.HaHa. Nonetheless, was so FUN!

Moral Lesson: Crap moral lesson! Just have fun with what have and who you are with.
What are you waiting for? Come and have the experience of your own. =)
